Emergency transfers PART 2

Hello hello!

To keep things short, between some major drama with me and my comp and the other Hermanas in our ward, and my new ward mission leader texting me last night telling me he was in love with me, I´m being emergency transferred to another area tomorrow.  President still hasn´t told me where I´m going yet, I find out tomorrow, so stay tuned to see where I go!  I have suspicions I´ll be headed to Otavalo, where all the indigenous people who speak Kichwa live... but we shall see!

This week has been ROUGH and to be honest, my entire mission has been crazy and hard.  But I know I am supposed to be here for a reason, and I am learning so much about myself and about my Savior Jesus Christ.  I am so thankful for Him and for the Gospel in my life.

I love you all and I hope y´all have a wonderful week!

Con amor,
Hermana Harris

A dog bit me and I´m still upset about it

Good afternoon to everyone except to the dog that bit me :) Ok I´m being dramatic but YES I got bitten (bit? bitten? I´m forgetting english?) by a dog for the first time in my mission.  I was just walking along in the village, minding my own business, the dog was walking by us minding his own business, and then he just comes behind me and bites me in the leg and tries to attack us?!  The audacity.  Don´t fret though, I´m rabies free (so far) but I do have a pretty sweet bruise from it. #blessed Other than that, not much new stuff happened this week.  We got to stop by at Lesli and David´s (our miracle baptism) wedding reception for a minute, found someone to teach, and ate some weird animal parts like usual!  It´s been a good week here in Cotama (other than the dog bite...yes still being dramatic), and I get to go back to the city to QUITO for the day tomorrow for a dentist appointment!!!  Stay tuned to see if the toothac...

Wheels up!!

And just like that...24 hours after we talked to Hermana Harris, we received notification on 3/24 that they had secured flights for them and they would be on the plane today, Thursday, March 26th.  Miracles indeed happen, and a group of missionaries from the Ecuador Quito/Quito North missions are airborne and expected to arrive in the US in just a few short hours.  Our daughter’s Ecuador days are officially ended and it’s bittersweet!  We are excited to see her soon!!!

Bug Free!

Hello everyone! First of all, I would like to thank all 59 of you who emailed me with concerns about my ear bug.  I was suprised how many of you actually read my emails haha!  As an update, the bug didn´t lay eggs and no other insects have crawled out since then.  God is real haha.   Last pday my comp and I went to Centro Historico in Quito where all the touristy places are.  It was so weird walking around and hearing people speak in English haha.  We took a ton of photos, but unfortunately when I tried to upload them today, the computer deleted everything on my card, so now I have no photos :´)  Shoutout to Ecuador´s technology.  Luckily, my comp had a few on her camera but sadly none of the ones with us in it!  Keep reading your scriptures and praying! Con amor,  Hna Harris
