Hello from OTAVALO! (where the indigenous live!)
So, I guessed right, I got transferred to Cotama, which is in Otavalo! Me and my comp are whitewashing, which means we are both new in the area, and we don`t know anything about our sector! My comp is awesome, her name is Hermana Aníbarro and she`s from Bolivia!
It`s so weird being here... I feel like I`m in an entirely different mission! Everyone wears indigenous clothes here, they speak Kichwa, and they eat SO. MUCH. Yesterday we had our first lunch with members here, and they fed me a huge soup with 2 potatoes in it and a chicken fat chunks (yes, just the fat, not the meat), and then they served me a HUGE plate with a mountain of rice, 5 more potatoes, and a bunch of chicken gizzard. (The entire time the family was speaking in Kichwa, and I couldn`t understand a thing!) I was STRUGGLING choking all the food down, and then after I finished they gave us another plate with cow stomach lining to eat (it`s called librillo, google it!). Needless to say, I threw up for a solid 10 minutes after I left. Rest in peace Hermana Harris.
On another note, this week ELDER HOLLAND came to my mission! We had an amazing conference with him and we all got to shake his hand. One thing that I really loved from his talk was that he told us when we are struggling, things will work out... IF you want them to. He explained you get what you want out of the gospel. It really is true! If we have faith and trust and rely on the Lord during our hard times, we can grow from our experiences and things WILL work out!
Caya cama, (apparently means "see ya" in Kichwa)

Pics:
- Said goodbye to Ponceano and our favorite members :(
- Miracle of the week: Found a pizzería to eat at :´) our sector literally has nothing but cows and corn fields
